Municipal Auditorium is located in the heart of downtown Kansas City and steps from the new Kansas City Power & Light District.

This March the arena welcomes the 2008 Women's Big 12 Basketball Championships as well as the MIAA Men's and Women's Basketball Championships.

Municipal has hosted nearly every type of event since the arena opened in 1936. This includes U.S. presidential campaigns, many NCAA Final Four Championships and now the 2008 Women’s Championships.

Municipal Auditorium comfortably seats 10,700 people, including 7,300 permanent upholstered seats.

The Arena is one of four self-contained venues in the Municipal Auditorium, and has its own lighted marquee, box office, show office, coat check, restrooms and concessions. It is accessible from the south side of 13th Street, where visitors enter through the splendid Grand Foyer.

The arena is also connected by covered walkways to the Convention Center, Conference Center, and the Auditorium Plaza Garage.
