American Heartland Theatre is recognized as one of Kansas City's theatrical cornerstones. Each year, our directors travel across the country to find the latest and most popular theatrical works on the American scene. Our success is due in large part to the attention we place on your entire evening of entertainment.

American Heartland Theatre is located in Crown Center on the third level at the south end. Neatly tucked in amongst the hustle and bustle of the center, we are connected through the Link to the elegant Sheraton Kansas City at Crown Center and Westin Kansas City at Crown Center hotels, Union Station and Science City, the Crown Center Exhibition Hall, and Halls Department Store.

Crown Center is filled with unique retail shops and fine restaurants. Minutes from the nightlife of Westport and enchanting shops and restaurants of the Plaza, American Heartland Theatre is an ideal stop for your entertainment needs. See you at the show!

Depressing and Vulgar

Very offensive language. No redeeming moral value to this sad story of self-destruction. I should have walked out at intermission. As a season ticket holder, I've seen some stinkers over the past few years but this is the worst show I've seen at the AHT.

I have been coming to AHT for many years. I am a season holder. I was extremely offended by the language used in this performance. It may have been written that way but I think it could have been toned down a great deal. I considered leaving due to the offense but these tickets are not cheap and we do look forward to the shows. I think the language was totally uncalled for and there was no indication of it in the literature. There was a young girl about 10 setting with her parents. Had that been my child I would have left for sure.
