HIGHLIGHTS:
- Displays in the tour center guide visitors through the various manufacturing and assembly processes.
- After an introductory video, visitors take guided tours of the factory floor and witness a wide range of steps in the production process including welding, laser cutting, frame bending, polishing and assembly.
- Visitors to the factory floor will see fenders and gas tanks being formed and newly painted frames hanging on the line. Revolution powertrains are also assembled from crankcase to cylinder heads on the factory floor.
- The gift shop sells tour-related souvenirs and authentic Harley-Davidson merchandise.
- The Harley-Davidson Factory in Kansas City will hold an open house on Friday and Saturday, September 11 and 12, 2009. The event will feature factory tours, motorcycle demo rides (with valid motorcycle license), a motorcycle stunt team, "Pig Pen" Kids' Play Area, BBQ samples and demonstrations and a chance to win a 2009 Dyna Fat Bob motorcycle with a raffle ticket purchase. Admission is free to the public.

| ADMISSION: Tours are free and last approximately one hour. Fully enclosed, low-heeled shoes (1 in. or below) are required. Children under the age of 12 are welcome in the Tour Center, but are not allowed on the factory tour. Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. |

| HISTORY: In 1901, William S. Harley drew a blueprint for an engine designed to fit into a bicycle. Shortly thereafter, William Harley and Arthur Davidson made the first Harley-Davidson motorcycle available to the public. The racer bike was built in a small 10 x 15-foot wooden shed. Today, Harley-Davidson is one of the most well-known motorcycle companies. |

DRIVING THERE: From the north: Take I-29 south toward Kansas City. Follow I-29 south to I-435 east toward St. Louis. Take exit 36 for NW Cookingham Drive. Turn left at LP Cookingham Drive/MO-D/MO-Y. Continue to follow LP Cookingham Drive and turn right at North Congress Avenue. Factory will be on the right.
From the south: Take I-35 or US-71 north. Merge onto I-29 north and take exit 12 for NW 112th Street. Turn right at NW 112th Street and turn left at N. Congress Avenue. Factory will be on the left.
From the west: Take I-70 east toward Kansas City and take exit 411B to merge onto I-435 north. Take exit 24 towards NW Barry Road and merge onto MO-152 east. Keep left at the fork and merge onto I-29 north. Take exit 12 for NW 112th St. Turn right at NW 112th Street and turn left at N Congress Avenue. Factory will be on the left.
