HIGHLIGHTS:
- The track hosts three NASCAR events annually — the Craftsman Truck Series in April, plus the Busch and the Sprint Cup Series in October. The speedway is also home to the ARCA RE/MAX Series and the IRL IndyCar Series, both held in April.
- Fans can get an up-close view of the racing action at Fan Walk, a behind-the-scenes interactive area within Kansas Speedway's infield.
- Called the "ultimate pre-race party," the Pit Stop Pub hospitality area features Speedway catering, Q&A sessions with NASCAR drivers and guided tours of Pit Road.
- Walk-up tours of Kansas Speedway are available on Thursdays during the months of April through November. Visit the Web site for prices and times.
- Kansas Speedway features three camping areas and 68 luxury suites.
- Fans can experience stock car racing first hand, by climbing behind the wheel and taking part in one of five different driving schools, offered periodically throughout the year at the speedway.

| HISTORY: Construction began in 1999 on the $225 million speedway in Kansas' Wyandotte County. Shortly after, NASCAR and the Indy Racing League announced they would both bring a slate of events to Kansas Speedway for its inaugural racing season. On June 2, 2001, the grandstand gates opened for the speedway's first races — the NASCAR Winston West Series Kansas 150 and the ARCA RE/MAX Series BPU 200. |

| WHERE TO GET LUNCH: Kansas Speedway is adjacent to the metro area's newest shopping and entertainment destination, The Legends at Village West. The district boasts 1.1 million square feet of restaurants and retail space, plus a movie theatre and a bowling alley. |

DRIVING THERE: From the west: Travel eastbound on I-70 and exit at 110th Street. Turn left at the end of the ramp and enter Kansas Speedway.
From the east: Travel westbound on I-70, pass I-435 and exit at 110th Street. Turn right at the end of the ramp and enter Kansas Speedway.
From the north: Travel south on I-435 and exit at State Avenue West and turn right. Kansas Speedway is half a mile ahead.
From the south: Travel north on I-435 and exit at State Avenue West. Kansas Speedway is half a mile ahead.
