HIGHLIGHTS:
- The open-air district's impressive list of almost 100 shops and restaurants includes several names that are new to the state, region and nation-including the country's first T-REX restaurant.
- A state-of-the-art, 14-screen movie complex, The Legends 14 Theatre, features luxury stadium seating, the latest audio technology and a VIP balcony with a full-service bar. The theatre also houses Kansas City's largest movie theatre auditorium with more than 600 seats.
- Pin-Up Bowl offers 12 alley lanes and a martini lounge.
- The shopping district is sprinkled with outdoor art that recognizes the state's heritage. Murals, medallions and plaques commemorate important moments and people in Kansas history — including Clyde Tombaugh, the scientist who discovered Pluto, and Hattie McDaniel, the first African American ever to receive an Academy Award. Bronze statues capture the likeness of other Kansas legends such as gunslinger Wyatt Earp and President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
