Thousands of American Idol fans recently traveled to Kansas City to find out if they could follow in the footsteps of Kansas City hero and American Idol champ David Cook and be the next American Idol.
Kansas City was the only Midwestern stop for American Idol’s Season 8 Auditions, which were held August 8 at Kemper Arena.
Nearly 10,000 people auditioned in Kansas City.
