The Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship heads back to Kansas City in 2010, with Sprint Center hosting the league championship for the second time. All 12 institutions will participate with seeding based on regular season finish. The top four squads in the conference standings earn first-round byes. The Big 12 Champion earns the league’s automatic bid to the 65-team NCAA Championship field. The entire Big 12 Championship will be televised on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Full Court, ESPN360.com or the regional Big 12 Network.

Sprint Center opened on October 10, 2007 and is one of the nation’s premiere entertainment venues. In 2009, Pollstar Magazine – the leading concert trade publication – ranked Sprint Center at No. 16 among worldwide venues. It finished No. 5 among U.S. concert venues -- behind venues in New York City, Dallas, Chicago and Atlanta.
