Kansas City is thrilled to host the 2010 Phillips 66 Big 12 Basketball Championship. There are many exciting events planned for this year. We are in the process of finalizing the event information. Please check back for the most updated information.
Phillips 66 Big 12 Basketball Championship

Watch 16 Teams Practice for Free
- On Tuesday, March 9, seeds 5-12 of the Men’s Championship will hold practice sessions at Sprint Center. This event is free and open to the public. The arena will open at 10:45 a.m. with practices running from noon to 5:55 p.m.
- Guests must visit the Sprint Center Box Office at 14th & Grand to obtain a complimentary ticket for entry. On Wednesday, March 10, seeds 5-12 of the Women’s Championship will hold open practice sessions at Municipal Auditorium. Practices will run from noon to 6 p.m.

Power & Light District
The Kansas City Power & Light District will transform for an action-packed fan experience with games, prizes, pep rallies, live music and more than 40 bars and restaurants. The district covers eight city blocks and is adjacent to Sprint Center.
The following free events are planned for basketball fans in the KC Live! Block of the Power & Light District:
- Wednesday, March 10, after the games: The Zeros; Must be 21 or older
- Thursday, March 11, after the games: Trampled Under Foot; Must be 21 or older
- Friday, March 12, at 4 p.m.: Country star Colt Ford
- Friday, March 12, after the games: Pomeroy; Must be 21 or older
- Saturday, March 13, late night: DJ performance; Must be 21 or older
